In order to give our hardworking employees time with their families we are closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Will reopen on Friday the 26th.

We have had a power outage because of the high winds which has knocked out our internet. Internet is necessary for our point of sale system so we are going to be closed this morning and (hopefully) reopen at 5 when things die down.

Y'all be careful out in these winds. They have also knocked out the traffic control lights at Main and Broadway.

Unfortunately a software update on our point of sale system has left it incompatible with our credit card readers. We will be unable to take credit cards for the next couple of days until we can get new readers in.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Thanksgiving hours -

We closed at 2:30 today and don't reopen until Tuesday to give our employees time to spend with family.

We hope everyone understands and we hope we will see you next week.

Phones are down.

The phone company is working on it now so hopefully they will be back up soon.

Unfortunately we will have to close today due to staffing availability. Our employees are awesome - we just don't have enough of them to cover when someone is out.

We apologize that these issues continue. Please take it easy on all the local merchants - this seems to be the new reality at least for the foreseeable future. If you want to work come see us Tuesday.

Due to an equipment upgrade we will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 31st. We will reopen on Wednesday.

Due to a fiber problem with Windstream, our phones are not able to receive calls at this time. We are open and taking orders on the curb. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. I've seen a few grumblings about the holiday hours so I wanted to quickly address it.

In short - as crazy as it sounds the employees enjoy some time with family as well. Things aren't like they used to be. There is a labor shortage (at least a shortage of people who want to work), so the employees you see at Buddy's are essentially all there is. There aren't really "shifts" like we had a few years ago - essentially everyone is working any time the doors are open. So while we are closed this weekend we have employees visiting out of town relatives for the first time in months, we have a sailor stationed across the pond in visiting family for the first time in three years, we have employees visiting relatives who likely won't be with us next Thanksgiving or maybe even this Christmas - essentially we have many of the same situations you see in your own families.

We are so grateful for our loyal customers who have helped keep the doors open through these trying last couple of years, and we are thrilled that you crave some steakfingers after all that turkey and tamales - but please try to remember the employees here are people with families, too. That's more important to us than a dollar.
