What a great community event at Memorial Circle! Families had the opportunity to sign up for summer programs through AYS and Recreation, connect with local organizations, and learn about all the opportunities available this summer.

Library staff handed out free books, lollipops, stickers, pins, pencils, and library cards while sharing information about our Summer Reading Program and upcoming events!

A reviewer stopped by the library today and left this feedback for us. We think our mystery note-leaver is pretty awesome too!

Starting Tuesday, June 9th our Reading Buddies program returns for the summer. Children entering grades 1-3 in September can sign up for a 30-minute slot to read to and with a big kid buddy. Sign up online or by calling 978-623-8440. Space is limited however the program will run each week through the end of July!

Due to scheduled maintenance, some WebServices and the online catalog will not be available starting Thursday, 6/4 at 12:00am. Downtime will last for approximately 10 hours.

During this time, the following services will be unavailable:
• Library catalog
• eCard registration and eRenew services
• MVLC Mobile app
• Checkouts and holds in OverDrive/Libby *

* You should be able to access items in Libby that were checked out and downloaded previously, but won’t be able to borrow or place holds on new items.

Plant a Seed, Read! We have lots of fun happening so check out our online calendar or pick up a brochure in The Children's Room! Sign up to record minutes read on the Beanstack app and help us reach our community goal of one million minutes read! Earn jibbitz and passes to Cowabunga, and if you complete the program by reading 1000 minutes you will be entered to win Presto the jumbo squishmallow cow!

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, we’ve chosen 1776 by David McCullough as our June Book of the Month.
This popular book explores a pivotal year in the American Revolution and the people who shaped it. Stop by the library and check out a copy while supplies last!

June is here, and so is a brand-new crossword puzzle. Test your knowledge with our latest in-house creation! Print it at home, solve it online, or pick up a paper copy at the library. Perfect for a little summer brain exercise!

This summer the library has a plot at the community garden! There will be a chance for volunteers to help tend the garden and grow fresh veggies and herbs. Keep an eye out for program opportunities, coming soon!

Produce from our plot will be available at the library, where we will encourage gardeners to donate or swap extra produce to help reduce food waste, support food security, and promote locally grown food.

Have you seen the amazing metalwork art in our display case this month?

Robert Megerdichian, son of artist Abe Megerdichian, will be at the library on Friday morning to discuss his father's art. We hope you can join us!
