Sometimes the most meaningful projects aren't about the objects. They're about the memories behind them.

For nearly two decades one father secretly saved ticket stubs from all games he attended with his son. Some became historic moments, but what mattered most was the time they spent together. We arranged the most memorable tickets into a timeline and paired them with the father's personal recollections of each game, creating a gift that celebrates not just sports history, but a lifetime of shared experiences. His son, now a military officer who travels the world teaching and mentoring soldiers, had no idea these memories would be waiting for him when he returned to visit.

Every once in a while, a framing project becomes something more than a display. This was one of them.

Our customer wanted to create a truly personal gift featuring handmade embossed envelope art and custom initials. The challenge was finding a way to showcase every detail without overwhelming the piece or leaving too much empty space.

By designing two opposing windows within the mat, we were able to create a balanced composition that feels both architectural and modern. The white linen matting isolates the deep blue artwork, drawing your eye immediately to the contrast of shapes and negative space. Displayed “on point,” the diamond orientation adds even more tension and symmetry to the design.

One of the greatest honors of our work is helping preserve the stories of those who came before us.

This project was created in memory of Private First Class Marino "Marty" Filosi, who gave his life during WWII while defending his fellow soldiers under machine gun, mortar, and sniper fire. Serving with the 45th Infantry Division — the “Thunderbirds” — he took part in the invasions of Sicily and southern Italy, and was awarded the Purple Heart and a posthumous Bronze Star for his bravery.

On Memorial Day, we remember Marty and all those who gave their lives in service to others.

When artist Sally Gello-Silvers asked for a frame that felt inseparable from her mixed media piece, we searched everywhere for the right fit. In the end, we built it from scratch — and the result was exactly what the artwork needed. You can see Sally's work at Open Studios on Wednesay June 10th, 5-9pm.

Luxury deserves a custom finish. Here’s a scarf mounted on suede and framed in a rich stained wood moulding. To keep this oversized piece light and easy to hang, we used conservation acrylic in a direct contact overlay (DCO), helping minimize rippling while protecting the textile for years to come.

Taking on a hefty challenge, we recently completed a custom frame for a reconstructed 1970s Batman Batmobile store display. With its impressive size and depth, this project called for something beyond a standard shadowbox. Instead, we chose a bold profile featuring sweeping curves and red pinstripes inspired by the classic Batmobile itself. Black frames can be notoriously difficult to photograph, so make sure to check out the detail shots to fully appreciate the craftsmanship and finishing touches on this one.

In our craft we handle a fair share of jerseys, as most frame shops would. Yet, we thrive on pushing the boundaries, injecting our creations with an extra dose of pizzazz. Imagine this: a Boston Bruins jersey where vibrant team color stripes are printed and dry-mounted to the inner walls of the shadowbox. These stripes not only serve as a backdrop but also as sturdy supports, holding the glass aloft with finesse. It's all about crafting a design that seamlessly weaves together every element.

We could have gone with a full “blackout” treatment to echo the Monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey, but our client chose something more contemporary and expressive instead. The satin hot pink metal frame pulls directly from the poster’s typography and subtle color palette, giving the piece a bold modern edge while still preserving the film’s sense of mystery and awe. Paired with the black matting, the result feels cinematic, futuristic, and a little unexpected — which suits Kubrick perfectly.
