I wanted to say Thank you to all of the active and retired service members that really should be honored every day. I really appreciate you and your service.

Week 8 is in the books and the Huskies had great effort from many young men. The PLAYER OF THE GAME from this group is Aidan Wiegert! Aidan had 78 yds receiving and averaged 13yds per completion. Aidan also had a critical touchdown reversed on a very strange call late in the game.
Honorable Mention:
#28 Lane Johnson - nice td in the fourth quarter
#3 Joseph Mason - Great game with a couple more td's! He leads the State in touchdowns.
#0 Collin Gravink - Business as usual! Great player
#15 Gage Roeder - Unsung hero! He is everywhere. If you even think about trying a short yardage run, you better get ready to get smacked! This guy has great timing and good nose for the ball between the tackles.

The regular season is complete and now the Huskies go on the road to East Ridge high school, Friday 10/24 at 7pm. Please come support the boys in their 1st round playoff game.

Week 7 was a great game against inter conference rival Osseo. PLAYER OF THE WEEK for week 7 is Collin Gravink. Collin rushed for 128 yds and a touchdown! Collin once again showed great range of speed, power and shiftiness while proving that he is one of the top running backs in the State! He runs between the tackles, blocks like a lineman and racks up most of his yardage after contact. Like I have said before, Colllin should have a scholarship waiting for him. Complete football player with a great attitude.

Honorable Mention goes to Joseph Mapson who had a pair of td's with 116yds in the air and 54 on the ground.

Please take a moment to recognize Joseph Mapson for the week 5 PLAYER OF THE WEEK! A quick note - Joseph asked me to mention his OFFENSIVE LINE for their play throughout the season. They are usually unrecognized, so we want to make sure they get a big round of applause! Joseph once again tore it up. What more can I say about Jospeh? Great athlete, smart decisions, extends plays, he is a finisher!! Next level QB with arm talent and timing. I haven't asked but I am sure he has been bombarded with college offers. Jospeh is currently the #4 ranked passer and the #6 ranked rusher in the State!

PLAYER OF THE GAME for week 4. Please congratulate Aiden Wiegert for week #4's PLAYER OF THE GAME! He was crucial to the win in week 4 and also week 5. Aiden has amassed 498yds receiving and is averaging almost 15yds per catch! He is now the #1 ranked receiver in the State!!! He is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. I hope someone has already signed him with a scholarship.

Week 4 of the High School football season is in the books and Andover beat previously undefeated Centennial. Once again, Joseph Mapson is taking home the Mattingley State Farm Player of the Week with 1 Rushing and 2 Passing Touchdowns! I have a feeling we are going to be watching this young man on Saturdays during the next step of his football evolution.
