If you’ve been weighing concrete vs. pavers, here’s what to keep in mind:
Pavers don’t crack like concrete slabs. If there’s ever any damage, you can replace the affected pieces — no need to tear out the whole surface.
They’re installed over compacted base materials that allow for slight movement when the ground here in Indiana freezes and thaws, instead of cracking like a solid slab.
It’s the same concept the Romans used to build their roads: layered base fill, interlocking stone, and proper drainage.
Over 2,000 years later, many of those roads are still around!

When should you seal your patio?
At Stone Terrace, we recommend waiting at least one year after installation before sealing. That gives time for the natural efflorescence (those light white spots) to rise out of the pavers instead of getting trapped under the sealant.
When we come back to seal a patio, here’s what we do:
✅ Check for settling
✅ Inspect all the sand joints
✅ Clean the entire patio with a specialized wash
✅ Then seal it—so what we’re locking in looks great
Sealing protects your patio from stains and weather, and we recommend resealing every few years to keep your investment looking brand new.
