Copper Centaur Studios
We are open for in-store purchases, mail orders, curb-side pickup, or local delivery. Use our online store (under construction).
Feel free to call, e-mail, or message us. :) Welcome to Copper Centaur Studios! We hand-dye small batches of fine natural-fiber yarns with professional acid dyes. Our dye studio has been moved into the shop, so going forward new yarn will not have been near a cat.

Update: I am arrived at the shop around 4:30 PM. I apologize to the three sets of customers who came out. Congrats to the one lady from New York who is visiting this area to see a new baby (grandchild?). Lucy is the better person to talk to regarding patterns. -- Lucy is still sedated from this morning's old folk's procedure requiring the exploration of the land down under. The doctor survived the expedition to those unchartered and dangerous realms. Hope this wasn't TMI. (Charles)
On Tuesday 6/16 we will be closed in the morning for a (routine) medical procedure. We may be closed in the afternoon as well depending on how recovery from anesthesia goes; we'll keep you posted. Fluffernutter promises to be a good nurse.
The 4014 and the 2102 together. Awesome! Dueling Banjos doesn't compete. See link in the comments.

Shot Cat Update (2 of 2): The surgery was a success. Thanks to those who financially supported this furball and to those who will do so in the future. Kitty has a name and a temporary home. If you want to learn more about the furball and Andrea's work, she has a second page called Spay a Stray of South Fork. This page is devoted to the furballs. :)
Shot kitty update!!
Forest Hills vet called me and I informed me that he is eating and using the bathroom ❤️
He will be released tomorrow 😸.
Also, the kitty now has the name Buddy. Tom who first noticed the kitty and his situation gave him his name. Tom will also be caring for him during his recovery 😸
I will keep everyone informed of his progress with info and pictures
Again I can't express how grateful I am for the donations to save this poor baby.
Thank you and God Bless

Shot Cat Update (1 of 2). Forest Hills Veterinary performed the surgery on the wounded cat. The x-ray may or may not be the cat from Ehrenfeld. They encountered several shot cats in the past month.
Please don’t shoot cats….especially if you suck at shooting! Keep in mind, this cat probably hid for days, then when it could finally be trapped and brought for veterinary care, it’s leg had to be amputated. This surgery was particularly difficult because of the significant scar tissue and the multiple fragments of bone and shrapnel. And cat rescues that are only trying to do their best to get these cats off the streets have to bear a significant cost and nursing care to get this cat back on his feet. Our office dealt with 2 of these this week. 😞
Closing early at 5 PM. Stupid car repairs. Dealership can't find the cause of "limp mode" in the
Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. :(

Out of the dyepots today: fi*****ng and DK minis in Black Cat and Strawberry Lemonade. The dyes on Strawberry Lemonade broke a little so you can see little bits of pink and orange, and I'm in love! ❤
Help needed. This furball was shot by some idiot. The kitty's leg needs amputated. Andrea has been an excellent job over the past two years with trying to get the stray cat population in South Fork, PA under control. She is making a difference. If you or know someone would like to help, please contact Andrea. If you would like to use us as a middle person, let us know. For those who do cat rescuing, situations like this area the most heartbreaking. Contact information is provided on the original post.

June 5th USPS Shipments: The packages we sent out on June 5th are encountering a tracking error. When the packages were scanned at the post office, the wrong button was pressed. Instead of being accepted, they were marked as delivered. These packages are still enroute the customer. Updated tracking info may or may not appear with each additional scan. This is the second or third time we have seen this happen.
