🇺🇸 DRONE SHOW 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION IS COMING TO SHASTA DAM SOME SPONSORSHIPS STILL AVALIABLE 🇺🇸



Northern California is getting ready for a major patriotic celebration as the Freedom 250 event heads to Shasta Dam on Friday, July 3, 2026. The event is part of the nationwide Salute to America 250 celebration honoring America’s 250th anniversary.

One of the biggest highlights of the night will be a massive drone light show over Shasta Lake and Shasta Dam replacing traditional fireworks. Organizers say the synchronized drone show will feature patriotic formations, local landmarks, and sponsor graphics lighting up the sky.

The Shasta Lake Chamber says this is meant to be more than just another Fourth of July event. It’s being planned as a community-wide celebration focused on patriotism, family, and bringing people together across the North State.

• Viewing locations and full event schedule still being finalized

Organizers are currently looking for sponsors and volunteers to help make the event happen. Local businesses involved will receive community recognition and visibility during the celebration.

This could end up being one of the biggest patriotic events the North State has seen in years.

What!!!!! So cool!

🪺Native Wildlife Alert 🚨

Sometimes the yard gets a little unexpected visitor.

A local Killdeer decided our landscape yard was the perfect place to build a nest… right on the ground between materials and equipment traffic. So we roped off the area and gave mama some space.

If you’ve ever seen a bird suddenly act “injured” and run away dragging a wing near you, there’s a good chance it was a Killdeer protecting a nearby nest. They nest directly on open ground and use distraction to pull predators away from their eggs.

What’s really interesting:
• The male often stands guard nearby
• The female stays close and helps distract attention away from the nest
• Their eggs are perfectly camouflaged in gravel and dirt
• The babies hatch ready to run almost immediately

Pretty cool reminder that Northern California wildlife finds a home in some unexpected places.
