If these walls could talk…I would ask them how on earth did someone cover up these windows?! If you notice in the before pictures, the windows on the exterior wall had been covered up with drywall and had cabinets hung on them. Previous homeowners would’ve done this to optimize cabinet space but in doing so they eliminated so much of the natural light in the kitchen and not to mention broke many building codes in the process 😂 The kitchen at really benefited from all the natural light and made the kitchen feel that much bigger!

Small Spaces: Inside we were tasked with making extremely tight spaces feel open, bright and spacious. One of the ways we did this was by opening the kitchen to the living room and adding an oversized sliding door overlooking the lake. As you can see in these before and afters, we turned a small galley kitchen into a large beautiful kitchen overlooking Lake Hartwell. It may be hard to believe but these pictures were taken from the same angles 🤭😱

When we started the laundry room was located in an awkward space between the kitchen and the dining room. In order to make the space make more sense, we converted it into a butlers pantry! By doing this, we were able to move the fridge out of the main kitchen space, add more storage, and make the main level perfect for entertaining!

We were able to save the original door hardware on and it turned out incredible! The detail in older homes is something you just don’t find much anymore!

Here’s a little behind the scenes look at our extremely advanced method of spacial planning… just kidding! We prefer to keep things simple and have a very clear layout of the space, especially any room we are drastically changing. For example, was a four bedroom, one bath house. To make the house more practical, we converted the smallest bedroom into a large master suite. We took days changing the layout in order to get the most of the space! We love how it turned out…What do you guys think?!

This shot 📷 is one of our favorites form After many years of DIY updates, this fireplace was looking like it stepped out of 3 different time periods. We decided to update it by going with a clean and simple design. Swipe to see the before!

After months of hard work, is finally finished! This historical home has been a labor of love with no shortage of challenges. After surviving for just shy of a century, we are hoping that the work that has been done will preserve it for the many years to come! We can’t wait to share more pictures of this beauty!
