Missions at VBS

ANOTHER FANTASTIC VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL. THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS! THANK YOU, GOD, FOR LETTING US LOVE THESE PRECIOUS CHILDREN AND SHARE THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL WITH THEM.

People can make bad decisions! Here are some examples:

Sam Phillips sold a small recording company to RCA in 1955 for $35,000. Included in the sale was a contract with a 20 year old, who at that time wasn't very well known, named Elvis. Phillips unknowingly forfeited royalties on more than one billion records. Ouch!! BAD DECISION!!

Tom Sellick turned down the role for Indiana Jones. Can you say BAD CAREER DECISION?

A thief in Boston attempted to shop lift two live Maine lobsters. To conceal them, he stuck them down in his trousers. Oh my gosh!!! Can you say BAD DECISION!?

The truth is, all of us have stories to tell about our own bad decisions. So, how can we minimize those bad decisions and maximize good ones? We need God's wisdom. We need to test our decisions (especially the big ones) in light of the scriptures and the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

HOW? How do we test a decision?? God's word, the Bible is essential if you want to make right decisions!

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

We're in the series called: "Who We Are!" The message this week is Part 6 - "The Bible And My Decisions".

Who are we? One of the big ways we are known is people of the BOOK! Real Christ followers GROW... and to grow in the Lord requires His Word, the Bible!

If you can be with us in person, everything starts Sunday morning over a cup of coffee and snacks at 9:30 served upstairs behind the sanctuary.

What's happening at NHF

Vacation Bible School
A big thank you to all who helped with VBS this past week. What a joy to know that all the kids who came were told about the love of God through the gospel of Jesus. Also, the kids and workers brought food items for Hope Missions that will be delivered this week. It was a great week!

Hope Missions
Hope Missions serves breakfast to over 100 homeless people each morning in downtown Anderson. Most needed now: Cheese Grits, Butter Grits (individual packets), Coffee and powdered creamer. Thank you.

Please, help Vacation Bible School collect items for Hope Missions who feeds over 100 homeless people every morning in downtown Anderson. Instant grits, instant oatmeal, coffee, creamer and sugar are used daily. Would you bring these items to church Sunday morning? God bless you for always being generous.

Tonight the fun begins!!!! Bring all the children in your life to Vacation Bible School at New Heart Fellowship. Beginning at 5:15 with a light supper followed by Bible Stories, Exciting Worship Music, Scripture Memory, Missions, Crafts, Recreation and SNOW CONES! Ending at 8:00. Hope to see you tonight!
