A special thank you to our live comedian host, Brian who kept the energy high and the crowd entertained all night long! 🎤

Most importantly, we were honored to celebrate and spend time with our Employee Gilmer Donors. Your leadership, generosity, commitment, and support help make a meaningful impact every day, and this event was our way of saying thank you.

This morning, Tim and Kourtney joined United Way of Pickens County for a tour of Camp iROCK at Liberty Elementary to learn more about the impact of programs supported through our Better Together Employee Giving Campaign with United Way.

Each spring, the School District of Pickens County identifies students who could benefit from additional support and invites their families to participate. Through a partnership with the School District of Pickens County and Clemson University’s Call Me MiSTER program, Camp iROCK provides an enriching summer experience focused on strengthening reading skills, building character, and creating meaningful connections.

This summer, Camp iROCK is serving 200 children at Liberty Elementary and every camper is there because donors and community partners made it possible.

Seeing these students engaged, learning, and thriving was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to invest in its children. 💙📚☀️

What is the Gilmer Society?

Named in honor of Virginia Kramer Gilmer (“Jennie”), whose vision and determination helped make a hospital for Anderson County a reality, the Gilmer Society recognizes the AnMed Foundation’s Leadership Donors.

Members include individuals and organizations who contribute $1,000 or more annually, helping advance healthcare and support the well-being of our community. We celebrate this leadership giving at our Fall Gathering event and throughout the year at employee Gilmer society member events!

Through their generosity, they continue Jennie Gilmer’s legacy of investing in exceptional care close to home. 💙

Donor Spotlight: James Wert, Sr. Operations Manager - Environmental Services

For James, giving back is more than an act of generosity; it is a reflection of his own life story. Since joining AnMed five years ago, James has been involved with the AnMed Foundation and has seen the meaningful difference donor support can make for children, families and the broader community.

His commitment to philanthropy is deeply personal. Born in Belarus, James spent ages 5 through 11 living in an orphanage before he was adopted. Growing up in a place where resources were limited, he came to understand at an early age what it means to need help and how powerful it can be when someone chooses to give it.

That perspective continues to shape the way James sees the world today. Through his wife, a Physical Therapist at AnMed Pediatric Therapy, he also witnesses the Foundation’s impact through the eyes of someone who helps children and families every day. He knows that behind every gift is the potential to provide care, hope and opportunity to someone who needs it.

Today, James is proud to give back to the community that continues to care for others. “I’m proud to be a small part of the Foundation’s impact and the difference it continues to make in our community.”

Thank you, James, for your generosity, compassion and dedication to helping others feel supported when they need it most.

Donor Spotlight: Angi Patrick, Vice Chair

What started as volunteering for the Camellia Ball in 2012 became a lasting commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
For Angi Patrick, serving with the AnMed Foundation is about more than fundraising, it’s about people. It’s about children receiving developmental therapy, families gaining access to affordable health care, homebound neighbors finding security through emergency response services, and the underserved communities receiving critical medical screenings.

Angi has dedicated her time, leadership, and heart to strengthening the health and well-being of our community. As Vice Chair of the AnMed Foundation Board of Trustees, she continues to build on the work of those who came before her while encouraging others to discover the impact they can make through service and generosity.
“I believe we all have a responsibility to care for one another, and supporting the AnMed Foundation is one way I can help invest in a healthier, stronger future for our community.”

Thank you, Angi, for your unwavering commitment, compassionate leadership, and dedication to creating lasting change. Your service reminds us that when a community comes together to care for one another, lives are transformed. 💙
