Today marks the first day of Women’s History Month. The PhiDE SC Beta chapter recognizes all those that identify as women and their contributions both in and out of the healthcare field, along with the boundaries they have broken. Last night we were very fortunate to have medical students from the USC School of Medicine Greenville attend our first ever DEI Panel! These students included Betlihem Ayalew, Breauna Sanders, Mohit Gandhi, and Ariana Morales. This was an amazing opportunity to learn about DEI and to hear the experiences of minorities in the healthcare field. If you’d like to watch the panel a recording will be up in the Spring 2023 events tab of our website soon!

A huge thank you to Dr. Abercrombie and AnMed staff for hosting a tour and workshop for our members yesterday! We practiced intubating, prostate exams, and learning how to read EKGs. Our members were so grateful for this opportunity to learn more about these medical practices🩺🥼

Last night some of the members of our new Kappa class joined us for ice cream! We had so much fun talking to them and getting to learn more about our new members. We can’t wait to host some more fun events this semester!
