We’re heading to PetSmart on Hilltop this Saturday, 6/27, for a special Adopt Joy event! All our pets at PetSmart this day will have $25 adoption fees!

Stop by to learn about the adoption process, ask questions, and maybe find your new best friend.

This sweet 2½-year-old Shepherd mix came to us matted down to the skin and full of fox tails, which meant her luxurious coat unfortunately had to go. The before & after is, admittedly, a little jarring.

Thankfully, Poppy's peppy personality remained completely untouched. She's still a playful, affectionate goofball!

It was important to let adopters know that this “freshly peeled” look is only temporary. In time, she’ll grow back into the majestic floof she was always meant to be.

✨ Camp Love-a-Pet Adoption Event This Friday! ✨

Our campers have spent the past two weeks helping shelter dogs build confidence and learn new skills, and now it's time for these pups to find their forever homes!

Come meet our Camp Love-a-Pet dogs as they show off their:
🐾 Basic obedience
🐾 Leash skills
🐾 Fun tricks
🐾 Adorable personalities

💙 Adoption fees are just $25!

As of today, these six Camp Love-a-Pet dogs are available for adoption! If you can't make it to Friday's event, or you just can't wait to meet them, call (530) 241-1653 to schedule an appointment this week.

Please note: Dogs will not be able to go home directly from the event, but adopters can pick them up the following day, Saturday, June 27 after 11 AM. That gives you plenty of time to pick out a new bed, some toys, and maybe a few treats before welcoming your new best friend home. 😉

🐱🎉 FREE Feral Fiesta Day This Thursday! 🐱🎉
Bring your neighborhood feral cat to our Veterinary Hospital on Thursday morning for Feral Fiesta Day! We will spay or neuter up to 50 cats.
✨ The June clinic is FREE thanks to the generosity of Northstate Cat Coalition and Raining Cats N Dogs We are so grateful for their support in making this possible. ✨
Please remember this is for stray, non-pets ONLY. All cats receive an ear tip. Cats MUST be in a wire cat trap, —the minimum size is 10” wide by 12” tall, and the trap must be in safe working order.
We also offer low-cost TNR spay & neuter services for up to 7 feral cats per day. Offered Monday through Thursday on a first come first serve basis starting at 7:15 AM. $45 per cat without vouchers. Full and partial vouchers are limited but currently available.

⭐️ Foster Feature: Best Boy Baxter! 😍

Baxter is a 2-year-old shepherd mix currently thriving in foster care, and he’s proving every day what a great companion he is.

This happy, friendly boy fits right in wherever he goes. He’s done well with other dogs he’s met, is comfortable around cats, and loves being part of the action. His foster mom often takes him out and about, and Baxter is a total star in public, riding along calmly and greeting the world with an easygoing attitude.

He’s playful, crate trained, and always up for a car ride or a new adventure. Baxter has that “go anywhere, do anything” kind of personality that makes him such a joy to have around.

In short, he’s just a really good boy who would make a wonderful companion for just about anyone.

Baxter is currently being babysat at the shelter while his foster family is away, so if you’re interested in meeting him, come by and say hello tomorrow! Otherwise, call us at (530) 241-1653 to schedule a meet-and-greet!

These little siblings have been in foster care for the last few weeks and are now ready for their forever homes! Along with them, is their brindle sister named Rose, who just hasn't had her close up yet! 📸
