🌟 It's not running. It's preparation for life.

People hear "Girls on the Run" and picture laps. Here's what's actually happening over a season: two practices a week for 10 weeks, built on an evidence-based, girl-centered curriculum — all leading to a celebratory 5K.

The running is the vehicle. The real cargo is confidence, joy, and the skills to make healthy, intentional choices when life gets hard.

And it works. Independent studies show 97% of girls learned critical life skills like resolving conflict and making intentional decisions, and 97% say they can truly be themselves at GOTR.

Research even shows GOTR makes a stronger impact than organized sports and PE at teaching these life skills.

📣 SC READY WRITING TEST – TOMORROW ✏️

Tomorrow, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will take the SC READY Writing test! Our students have put in a lot of effort this year, and we are excited for them to show what they’ve learned.

Ways to help your child be ready:
✔️ Ensure they get a full night of rest
✔️ Have them eat a nutritious breakfast or arrive early enough to eat at school
✔️ Encourage them to take their time and give their best effort
✔️ Remind them to follow directions carefully and review their work
✔️ Send them off with confidence and a positive attitude

⏰ Important Reminder:
Students must arrive at school on time. Testing will begin promptly, and any student arriving after testing begins will need to test on a make-up day.

💙 A Note of Encouragement:
Remind your child that this is their chance to demonstrate all they’ve learned. We are already proud of their growth, effort, and determination this year. A little confidence can make a big difference—encourage them to believe in themselves!
