Even though we are not able to meet in person this morning, we can still share our lesson together.

This year, our theme with the kids' lessons on Sunday morning is Disney characters and the traits they share with being a disciple. God knew where we would be on the first Sunday of February when the lesson is about the characters in Frozen!! Each Sunday of February, we will look at a different focus in the characters and storyline.

Our focus this Sunday is letting go. It is difficult sometimes to "let it go." The IT can be a mistake somebody else made, a mistake we made or even good stuff that we have to leave behind in order to go where God leads us.

Forgiving ourselves for a past mistake, especially one that hurt someone, is very difficult but we have to learn how to let go or it weighs us down and keeps us from moving forward. Paul is an example of how to let God use us even when we have not gotten it right in our past. We don't have to forget; we just have to forgive and let go. God will cover us with grace as we give it to Him and let it go.

While you are snowed in today, pour a mug of hot cocoa, grab your favorite fuzzy blanket, watch Frozen and see if you can spot the moment that life gets better for Anna and Elsa when Elsa let's go of regret and fear. The world around us changes, too, when we, as Christians, learn how to let go of anything that holds us back from living as disciples. Do you wanna build a snowman?

Roads continue to pose a danger with icy conditions. Our church office will be closed tomorrow. No Administrative Counsel or Finance Meetings tomorrow either - Postponed until February. Stay warm; stay safe.

Out of an abundance of caution and concern over everyone’s safety in the winter storm, all services and activities at Trinity United Methodist Church will be cancelled this Sunday, January 25, 2026. Stay safe and stay warm!
