Robert Anderson Middle School-RAMS

⏰🚍 Anderson School District Five will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, February 3rd. All Anderson Five schools and offices will follow the modified schedule below:

Early Childhood & Elementary Schools will begin @ 10:00 a.m.
Middle Schools will begin @ 10:10 a.m.
High Schools will begin @ 10:20 a.m.

Breakfast will not be served, but lunch will be provided as normal. Anderson Five Transportation Services will also operate on a two-hour delay. Students will be picked up two hours later than their normal pick-up time (for example, a 6:30 a.m. pick-up will occur at 8:30 a.m.). To ensure the safety of our students and drivers, buses will not be able to travel over roads deemed unsafe. If a student’s pick-up location is deemed impassable, parents will be notified through the My Ride K12 mobile app.

Reminder 📢 Today is the final eLearning Day available to Anderson School District Five this school year. In addition to last week’s three eLearning Days, the district had to utilize one eLearning day earlier in the school year (November 7th) due to power outages. Any additional missed days are required by the state to be made up, and these make up days are built into the school calendar.

As for tomorrow’s operations, district teams will assess roads this afternoon once temperatures rise and ice begins to melt. Once that process is complete we will communicate a decision as soon as possible, but it will likely be around 5:00pm so please check back with us this evening.

Anderson Five will eLearn again tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28th.
While our campuses are fine, road conditions in several areas make travel unsafe. Our teams will be back out tomorrow checking those areas as we continue to work through this process. Thank you for your understanding as we keep our students safe.

The Anderson Five team continues to assess road conditions in our school district, and while main roads are safe and clear, some secondary roads remain icy.
Thank you for your understanding as our team works towards making a decision that keeps our students and staff safe. After the final road assessment is completed, a decision will be made and communicated out to our families.

Anderson Five will eLearn on Monday and Tuesday of next week. We know that depending on the severity of the weather, students may be without power and/or internet access. As such, ample time will be given to complete eLearning assignments. Please stay safe.

✨🍎 Allow us to formally introduce our newly named 2025–2026 District Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Courtney Goldsmith! ✨🍎

Mrs. Goldsmith teaches 6th grade Math at Robert Anderson Middle School-RAMS and is beginning her 14th year in education. She is also a proud graduate of Anderson Five schools, having graduated from Westside High School in 2008 before earning her B.A. in Elementary Education from Clemson University in 2012.

Her teaching career began at New Prospect Elementary School where she taught 5th grade before serving students through the A5 Virtual Academy during the pandemic. She is now in her fifth year at Robert Anderson, where her love for middle schoolers has flourished. Beyond the classroom, Courtney wears many hats—assistant Varsity Cheerleading Coach (Westside High), advisor to the RAMS Student Ambassadors, dance fitness instructor at Phenom Training Facility, and owner of Love it Events by Coco Re’Anne.

While her schedule is full, Mrs. Goldsmith is deeply committed to empowering students both academically and personally. She founded Jumpstart, a summer enrichment program designed to bridge learning gaps, and continues to build leadership opportunities that make students feel seen, valued, and capable of success.

Her message as District Teacher of the Year is simple but powerful:

Outside of school, Courtney loves cheering on her Tigers, tailgating with family, and supporting another season of football, competitive cheer, and basketball.
