Here are some things I’ve learned over the years that you cannot persuade me on with the amount of evidence I have:

1. Gentle does not mean broke.
2. True behavioral issues are taught.
3. You can only ride papers so far.
4. A good rider can make a bad horse look good, a bad rider can make a good horse look bad.
5. If you treat your horse like it’s broke, it gets broke faster.
6. If you don’t have respect on the ground, you’re not going to have it in the saddle.
7. Take care of your horse and it will take care of you.
8. Soft hands do not make a soft horse.
9. Green rider + green horse = nothing good no time fast
10. Alfalfa does not make your horse hot.
