The Alaska Chapter is well represented at Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) ICON! Members pictured hail from Anchorage, Fairbanks and the Kenai Peninsula and we’re excited to bring back the strategies and tactics we’re learning to share with fellow members and our organizations.

The APRs’ Choice Award provides the opportunity for Alaska’s public relations professionals holding the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) designation to vote for their favorite campaign, a twist on a People’s Choice Award.

The Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) demonstrates significant knowledge of ethical public relations as a management function.

This year’s APRs' Choice Award goes to the Bag It Up! organizing committee for their fundraising event that combined a fun, high-energy concept with intentional, informed, strategic communications and outreach that had meaningful impact and measurable results.

The Grand Aurora Award is the highest level award in Alaska for a public relations campaign. It requires thorough research, strategic planning, thoughtful implementation and excellent results.
