Connecting with others has proven to have a positive impact. If you or someone you know is interested in joining a peer support group, consider registering for this group which meets virtually every other Wednesday.
Build belonging, resilience, and hope after brain trauma. Group meetings are free, private, and offered via Zoom. This resource is supported by the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority (AMHTA). This group offers space for Alaskans living with the outcomes of brain trauma to build belonging, resilience, and hope. Attendance is confidential and discussions are private. Falls are the number 1 way to get a brain injury in Alaska. It is that time again when we experience weather changes which make up a perfect concoction for falling. Remember to wear your ice grippers or if you do not have any, slide your feet when walking outdoors PLEASE!
