This weekend The Metropolitan Opera offers a visit to Catfish Row. Gershwin's "Porgy and Bess" takes to the air Sunday at two on 98.1 FM.

I risk being struck by The Metropolitan Opera Fan lightening, but, in my opinion, this week's Met broadcast benefits from being on the radio. Who imagined this is a good look for the world's most often-performed opera, "Carmen?" Of course, it will sound great. After all, it's from, the Met. So, tune-in. Enjoy the music.
