We're partnering with We the People Consulting to host an in-person seminar that joins industry experts, tribal leaders, healthcare professionals, and food producers in discussions on traditional foods and practices, programs, strategies, and implementation.

Just one week from today, TTCD in coordination with the UAF Cooperative Extension Service will be hosting a Canning Salmon Workshop at the Tyonek Tribal Center on Tuesday, June 16, 2026
from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Learn how to safely can salmon using a pressure canner. Salmon from the 2025 catch by Tyonek fishers will be provided.

Youth under 14 are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult. TTCD's Outreach Manager Arlo Emerson will be present to help lead youth during the workshop.
