Due to the current Covid-19 status, we currently NOT accepting walk-ins for eye exams and other services. Please call ahead of time to schedule the appointment with our Doctor and the Optician. We are also limiting the number of the people in the office.

We are still accepting Medicaid Patients. Please call ahead to provide the staff your information, ie medicaid #, date of birth to verify eligibility and benefits. When everything checks out, staff will call you to set up the appointment. Our current hours for medicaid patients are 1:30 - 4:30 pm, Tuesday thru Thursday for the time being.

On your appointment day, please bring the following with you - your medicaid card, medicare card if you have any, and identification card.

For all other patients requiring other services, we are open to scheduling appointments after hours and weekends for those unable to come during regular business hours.

As a precaution, patrons will have to wear fabric face coverings prior to entry.

Patients who exhibit symptoms consistent with the Covid-19 virus WILL NOT be allowed to enter the premises.

In addition, we are also limiting patrons to enter with just one other person/family member.

In compliance with State requirements, your temperature will be taken and your information ( name, date/time, telephone number and temperature) will be recorded.

What 20/20 Vision In An Eye Test Means?

In the United States, the standard placement of the eye chart is on a wall that's 20 feet away from your eyes. Since many eye doctors' offices don't have rooms that are 20 feet long, in a smaller room the eye chart may hang behind the patient chair, using mirrors to make it appear in front of you at a simulated distance of 20 feet.

20/20 vision (or really, 20/20 visual acuity) is considered "normal" vision, meaning you can read at 20 feet a letter that most human beings should be able to read at 20 feet.

Eye charts can be configured in various ways, but generally, if during an eye test you can read the big E at the top but none of the letters lower than that, your vision is considered 20/200. That means you can read at 20 feet a letter that people with "normal" vision can read at 200 feet. So at 20/200, your visual acuity is very poor.
