That’s wrap on Summit Camp 2026! Words cannot express how amazing this year was. A special thank you to our amazing staff that worked together so seamlessly and helped to create such a fun and welcoming environment for our campers!

Also a special thank you to BlueWater BaseCamp for hosting this us this year! Teal and Russ have created such a beautiful and serene space just up the road from Eklutna Lake and were there to help us every step of the way with anything we needed!

This venue was a huge reason why this year was so successful. Check them out for weddings, retreats, or just a fun getaway spot. As a bonus they also go out of their way to create a welcoming environment for folks with physical disabilities and go far beyond ADA compliance.

Thank you for everyone for another amazing year and can’t wait to dream it all up again next year.

🚐🔧⛷️ Do you LOVE fixing things? Are you a creative problem solver with an insatiable desire to improve design? Enjoy being outside? Want your work to directly impact the lives of people with disabilities?

Challenge Alaska is looking for a Facilities & Equipment Manager to keep our programs running year-round in Anchorage and Girdwood.

This isn't your typical facilities job.

One day you might be coordinating snow removal before a ski lesson. The next, you're tuning adaptive ski equipment, managing our vehicle fleet, organizing adaptive bikes, troubleshooting building systems, or helping prepare equipment for a participant's first time on the slopes.

You'll oversee:
✅ Two facilities
✅ Our fleet of vehicles and trailers
✅ Adaptive ski, snowboard, cycling, and a whole host of other adaptive recreation equipment
✅ Coordination of various 3rd party contractors and vendors
✅ Equipment setup for life-changing adaptive recreation programs

We're looking for someone who is organized, mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and excited to support a mission that helps Alaskans with disabilities experience adventure, independence, and community.

If you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and being part of a team that changes lives every day, we want to hear from you.

📍 Anchorage & Girdwood
🕒 Full-time, year-round
❤️ Mission-driven work with an incredible team

If anyone is planning to participate in the Palmer Classic bike ride this Saturday, is traveling from Anchorage and would be willing to give someone a ride, can you please message us? They are doing the 50K and would need to be there by 9 am. One of our athletes is looking for a ride to and from the event.

Huge thanks to nova.alaska.guides Mya, Angie and Ben for keeping us safe and being so fun to be around on The Matanuska Glacier Trek.

More adventures to come!
