The ASARA Board of Directors would like to thank all of you that have donated to the ASARA General Fund in 2021. With the matching grant we were able to bank ~ $30k to go toward training of ASARA members. A special thanks to the Jim and Vicki Jansen Foundation for their generous donation and John Rodgers for making that possible.

14 deaths across the United States in the first 10 days of February, including three here in Alaska, highlight the dangers associated with avalanches. In an average year there are between 20 and 30 deaths nation-wide in an entire winter season. Please be careful out there. ASARA extends our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and everyone impacted by these tragedies.
