Congratulations to Begins And Ends With A Productions and Curtis Theatre! OCTG's adjudicators have awarded 'The Book of Will' the OCTG Recommended Stamp.

After years of hoping to bring Lauren Gunderson's celebrated play to the stage, director Amanda Hallman's long-awaited vision has finally come to life at Curtis Theatre in Brea. What began as a dream after first reading the script has grown into Begins And Ends With A's most ambitious production yet, featuring the largest cast in the company's history.

'The Book of Will' tells the remarkable true story of Shakespeare's friends and fellow actors who worked to preserve his plays after his death, ensuring that generations to come would know the works we now consider timeless classics. Filled with wit, heart, grief, and an abiding love of storytelling, the play is a moving tribute to friendship, artistic legacy, and the people behind the art we cherish.

After years of waiting for the rights, that vision is finally coming to life at Curtis Theatre through Begins ...

AUDITIONS for “Once Upon a Mattress” at Whittier Community Theatre.
“Once Upon a Mattress” will run for three weekends, September 12 through September 26, 7 performances total, with two Sunday matinees.

This comic musical was inspired by the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale “The Princess and the Pea”. The Director is Eric Modyman.

Prepare 32 bars of a musical theater song that showcases your voice and personality. Please bring sheet music or your own accompaniment track on a phone or device. Wear clothing and footwear you can comfortably move in, as movement may be part of the audition process. Bring a current headshot or photo and resume is available. Bring a list of any rehearsal conflicts. If possible, please bring a completed audition form.

There is no pay, all roles are open and all ethnicities and genders are encouraged to audition. This is a non-equity volunteer production.

Auditions will be July 6 and 7 at 7:00 pm. We are located in the Whittier Community Center at 7630 Washington Ave. Callbacks on Wednesday June 8. The performances will be in the adjoining 400-seat Whittier Center Theatre.

Congratulations to American Coast Theater Company! OCTG's adjudicators have awarded The Spitfire Grill with the OCTG Recommended Stamp.

Set in the small town of Gilead, The Spitfire Grill is a heartfelt musical about second chances, unexpected friendships, and discovering hope in the places we least expect. Under the guidance of producer and performer Susan Berkompas, the production invites audiences into a world that feels both deeply personal and universally familiar—a place where community has the power to heal.

Berkompas describes American Coast Theatre Company as "such a haven and a light... it feeds my artistic soul," and that spirit shines through this moving production.
