Meet Rhian! 👋✨ Rhian is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and joined us at earlier this year as an undergraduate Conference Intern from Virginia Tech!

When we asked Rhian about the impact her intern experience had on her, she shared: 💬 “Although my future career is in medicine rather than FSL, AFLV helped me recognize that what I have learned in this space will continue to shape how I work with others. Medicine depends on people with different roles working toward a shared goal, and this experience strengthened my ability to contribute to a team, adapt when needed, and support others while still being willing to lead.”

As we continue shaping the educational experiences for AFLV Central and AFLV West, we’re extending the Call for Programs to help ensure every community has access to high-impact sessions designed specifically for its leaders.

We’re accepting additional submissions created for:

• Culturally-based fraternity + sorority leaders at both conferences, with our greatest opportunity at AFLV West.

• NPHC fraternity + sorority leaders at both conferences, especially AFLV West.

If your work has given you an idea, strategy, lesson, or experience that could directly benefit either audience, we’d love to hear from you!

These audience-specific submissions remain open through Thursday, September 17 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Looking for a hands-on internship experience in January or February 2027? 👀 AFLV Central + AFLV West Intern applications are open through the end of the month!

And no... you don’t have to be in a student affairs program to apply. We’re looking for undergraduate and graduate students from ALL academic backgrounds who are ready to jump in, meet new people, and gain real-world experience. Hospitality, business, communications, healthcare, education, engineering, you name it!

As a Conference Intern, you’ll work alongside Team AFLV to help bring a large-scale conference experience to life, gaining hands-on experience with:

🍽️ Meals + special events
🎤 Speakers + educational programs
📍 Signage + event logistics
🤝 Customer service + relationship building
⚙️ Behind-the-scenes conference operations
