Yesterday, I had the honor of speaking at Social Media Marketing World on creating Viral AI Ad Hooks using Google Veo 3 & YouTube Ads.

Because the event was hosted at the Anaheim Convention Center... the EXACT same building where I attended my very first conference back in 2016: VidCon.

As I walked up to the Anaheim Convention Center this morning, it hit me.

I had been right here, walking up to these very same doors, exactly 10 years ago.

It was 2016 & I was attending my very first business convention - VidCon.

At the time, I was running my original tech YouTube channel, AppFind, which I had grown to over 250,000 subscribers…

And I remember being SO excited to finally meet other YouTubers in person & be surrounded by people who were just as obsessed & passionate about this space as I was.

I was a wide-eyed kid taking it all in, dreaming about what was possible. And listening to the amazing speakers!

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘇𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁…

Just a few months later, I launched AdOutreach to help businesses with YouTube Ads & Video Marketing.

And that one decision put me on the path that would lead me back to this very same convention center - a full decade later - as a Speaker.

Today I’m speaking at Social Media Marketing World on Viral AI Ads & YouTube Advertising.

Same doors. Same convention center. Completely different chapter.

10 years ago I was the one taking notes in the audience.

Today I get to be the one on stage. 🙏

If you would have told 2016 Aleric walking into VidCon that he’d be back here speaking at a major marketing conference a decade later… he wouldn’t have believed you.

The big breakthroughs aren’t built in a day. They’re built in the small decisions, the late nights, the videos no one watches at first, & the courage to keep going when it gets hard.
