So... It turns out some of the best business meetings start with amazing egg dishes, coffee with glitter, and a table full of ideas. ☕✨

So… this morning at the San Antonio airport, I heard my name called over the gate area asking me to come up to the gate and immediately thought, “Oh no. What did I do?” 😂

Before this happened, I had already been commenting on how cheerful the two Delta gate agents were. The fun banter was such a great way to start the day. You could tell they genuinely enjoyed what they were doing — and that kind of energy is contagious, especially at 6-something in the morning. ☕️✈️

Once I reached the desk they announced to the gate area that I had reached 1 million miles with Delta and am a 360 member. They handed me this thoughtful card (with amazing penmanship I might add) and suddenly the panic of hearing my name over the loudspeaker turned into a pretty great surprise. 😂

Audrey and Greg (I hope I got your names right!) --- THANK YOU. You made my morning, and more importantly, you reminded me how much a little personality and kindness can mean to travelers. You made me feel so special and appreciated. And thank you to the MANY people at Delta who do this every day. You spend your days making travelers feel valued, welcomed, and appreciated, and you deserve to feel that same appreciation right back. 💙

Delta Air Lines ... these are the people you want representing your brand. Please know how amazing they are. I hope someone makes sure they get the recognition they deserve.❤️

And apparently, when something unexpected happens, my first instinct is to stand there in shock, turn about four shades of red, and now wishing I had thought to take a selfie with these amazing humans. 🤦‍♀️😂

Apparently the welcome committee really IS bigger in Texas... and I made a new friend! 🤠🐂

I’m in San Antonio this week for the Signature Travel Network Owners’ Conference, and our hosts at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort definitely know how to throw a Texas welcome!

Such a fun evening at the resort, complete with great food, beautiful surroundings, wonderful people and, yes, not one, but two, Texas Longhorns. He wasn’t much of a conversationalist, but he was definitely a hit. 😂

Breaks almost over so Im packing once again and this next trip has a little bit of everything I love.

First stop is San Antonio, TX for one of my favorite industry events. I’ve never been there, so I’m excited to finally see it and catch up with friends and colleagues. Anything I shouldnt miss if i have extra time?

Then it’s on to Walt Disney World! It’ll finally be October, so I can go all in on the Halloween fun and enjoy my favorite time of year at Disney. I’ll be soaking up the fall atmosphere and sampling the seasonal treats. Important research, obviously. 🎃

After that, I’m boarding the Disney Wish for a media event all about the Disney Believe. I’ve been eager to learn more about this ship, and Disney is sending us on a scavenger hunt to uncover some of its details. I’m ready to follow the clues and see what Disney has up its sleeve. 🔎🚢 So grateful to our partners at Disney for the opportunity!

There will also be a livestream of the announcements!! I’ll share the viewing details when Disney releases them and am so happy to have you follow along!

So... question - Disney Cruise Line has given us lounges inspired by Star Wars, Haunted Mansion and many others. What theme would you love to see on the Disney Believe?

When disembarking in Seattle, at Smith Cove Terminal 91... Grab a taxi vs Uber/Lyft.

As you can see taxis are waiting right outside the terminal exit.

Uber/Lyft requires a hike closer to the parking area. Not fun with luggage in tow.

Sailing Star Princess this week, and I’m getting to experience Princess Cruises Sanctuary Collection firsthand. 🚢✨

I’m staying in a Sanctuary Signature Suite, and after experiencing it, I have a better understand who this is really designed for.

The Sanctuary Collection gives you a more elevated, exclusive experience within the larger ship, including access to the private Sanctuary Club, lounge, exclusive dining, beautiful suite accommodations and additional amenities. It’s a great option for someone who loves everything a big ship has to offer, but also wants a quieter, more relaxing place to retreat to.

And that may be my favorite part so far... you don’t have to choose between the energy of a big ship and a more intimate, upscale experience. You can have both.

Is it worth the upgrade? That always depends on how you like to travel and which amenities matter most to you, but if you value extra space, a quieter atmosphere and a little more exclusivity, the Sanctuary Collection is definitely something to consider.

And yes, I’m continuing to explore, eat and relax in the name of research. 😉⚓️
