An ad appeared in a March 1968 PennySavers issue. It had a phone number and urged anyone interested in trucking to call. That ad was Placed by a man named George Dietz and his wife,Judy who worked at the PennySaver. Judy took a lot of calls, did some PR work, and gathered together a group of 6 or 8 guys. Why sit around the house on New Years Day watching reruns of the Rose Parade when you can go for a nice cruise? Every year Pickups Limited Orange County brings in the new year the way all car guys and gals should, by driving. It does not matter what you drivejust as long as you show up for the fun. Remember, it's a mystery toeverybody because the group will choose the route just before takeoff. You don't need a pickup and everybody is welcome.
