DANTE’S INFERNO, REINVENTED.

“Heaven... sheds no light here. God... is not present.”
- Homerik: The Circle of Dead Children - Chapter IX, The Black Mass

Fascinating artist Homerik is the brainchild of visionary, Mad Composer, Ken Candelas -a twenty-first-century architect of the extraordinary. Homerik is a Philosophical Metal opera that reimagines the classic tale of Dante’s Inferno, set against the harrowing backdrop of World War II. With the masterful narration of Jonathan Kruk, the musical prowess of Elizabeth de Deus (Candelas), guitar work from Jason Stallworth, and pulsating basslines from Nic Z, Homerik sets a new standard in musical storytelling.

“This is not just an album for metal fans; it is a cultural artifact that invites all who dare to listen, to embark on a journey through the inferno and beyond.”
- Eternal Flames

This project is more a fusion of art, literature, and sound than just a musical project thus giving it such a timeless nature. Homerik’s commitment to quality over quantity and their dedication to creating an art form unlike anything the Metal community has ever seen sets them apart as true innovators. Their work is a magnum opus—a creation meant to endure through the ages.

“Godless; A Song of the Night, Part II” premiered at Metal Injection, in a July 29th post entitled Homerik Goes Full On Metal Opera With New Single “Godless; A Song Of The Night, Part II.”

“Homerik is showing off their upcoming metal opera with the premiere of a new single ‘Godless; A Song of the Night, Part II’. The song takes on after ‘A Song of the Night: Part I’, the Homerik prologue that explores the relationships of Morgana, the mother of Dante.”

🚨 PLEASE SHARE. 🚨 IMPORTANT PSA. 🚨

In such a political climate where doom lurks around every corner, the world is sounding the alarm on fascism amongst the USA.

(Listen to the excerpt below.)

When this song “Sacred Order” was originally made, it was done during 2016 when we had our first encounter with fascism. Upon its release last year, this song took an entirely different meaning.

It foretold a prophecy, one which spells destruction for mankind should we continue to follow what would undoubtedly become WW3.

I urge you to listen to the message of Franklin D Roosevelt on this piece, putting America on high alert with his “Arsenal of Democracy” speech. He spoke of a rogue nation that was ruled by fascists which threatened the world. And so this world had a common enemy.

We ended the Third Reich, and destroyed its legacy onto the pages of history books. Rightfully so.

As such, this song is from Homerik’s album “The Circle of Dead Children”. It is an adaptation of the legendary Dante’s Inferno, but with a modern WW2 twist. It is a thoughtful work, and I believe that this project’s message is more important than ever.

We need to do better. It starts with accountability, and then doing what's right for the betterment of our existence. We need more community, less individualism. More empathy, less intolerance. More love, less hate…

👉 Share this if you believe we need to do better, too.
