Another venue announcing closure. It sad to see such a staple in the SoCal scene being added the list of venues we’ve lost. A lot of us got our start here. I played my very first show at Chain Reaction in 2013 with Canopus. The last time I played there, I got to open up for in 2018 with Swine. I’ve seen many bands, big and small there. Always intimate. Always sick.

In 2013, my senior year of high school, I managed to get a single nosebleed ticket to see at the since demolished Los Angeles Sports Arena. I was able to sneak down to floor seats. After countless concerts and shows attended, I can honestly say that was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. The influence his music has had on me is unmeasurable. Fly high Prince of Darkness. Randy Rhoads has music waiting for you 🖤🪽
