Oops dropped my mask
I built functional Spider-Man Brand New Day web shooters! They hold up to 60 pounds*, reload super quickly, and magnetically mount over clothing. Project files are linked in bio 🥳
*web consists of three SpiderWire 20 pound test lines braided together. While braided line strength is typically less than the total strength of all the lines added up, independent lab tests frequently cite SpiderWire as breaking significantly above the advertised pound test, so I think 60 pounds is a relatively accurate number for how much the line can actually hold. Also worth noting this is the rating of the webbing, not the neodymium magnet that lets it stick to things, which pulls off pretty easily by design.
Brand new web shooter for a brand new day 🕸️ Really happy with the finish on this project and how it turned out. Full build vlog on my youtube!
