ASPIRE Creative Arts Program

This Fourth of July our on site and virtual students enjoyed celebrating Independence Day with a fun party that included making Patriotic art, playing themed games and a dance party. We love celebrating holidays together at Aspire!

Our students have thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Canyon Hills School this past academic year. We have been able to provide various workshops and perform for their students. It has been so wonderful to see the bonds created through art, music and dance. Our students really developed their skills as assistant instructors and performers, and forged strong connections with the students at Canyon Hills School.

We had a amazing time performing our Annual Christmas show- "Christmas in Candyland' in December 2024. Our talented students performed a multitude of dances, poetry, songs, instrumentals and drama pieces all interwoven into a sweet story of friendship and fortitude. We are grateful to all our audience members (in person and virtual), donors, volunteers, and board members who helped make this show possible. We are also thankful to everyone who purchased students' hand made items at our Christmas Boutique. Our students love to perform and worked very hard rehearsing and displaying their creative talents.

Our virtual students performed dances, songs, and drama pieces through video. The entire Christmas show video will be available to watch on YouTube soon, so look out for that!

Yesterday we had a Guest Artist Workshop with Silk Scarf Painting Artist Workshop with Carolyn and Linda. Our students got to experiment and learn about silk painting, color mixing, and brushstrokes. We are so excited to see how the scarves turn out! Thank you to Carolyn and Linda for conducting the workshop for us.

Our students have created beautiful baby quilts through our Giving Back program. We had the opportunity to present these quilts to the Crittenton Services for Children and Families. These quilts will be used for young babies through Crittenton's services. Our students are so pleased that their creations will be used for such a wonderful cause.

We had the pleasure of having another Community Exchange Event with Dance4Joy this August. The wonderful dancers of Dance4Joy performed a variety of dances for our students, along with conducting a interactive dance segment. Our students then showcased their talents through dance, music, poetry, sign language, and art.

Sharing some beautiful memories of Ann Doyle with our students and at our Christmas boutique. She will be missed and we treasure all her contributions to Aspire. ❤️

We had a wonderful celebration for 4th of July this year! Our students painted fireworks, decorated themed cupcakes, played charades, had a scavenger hunt, sang patriotic songs and danced the afternoon away! Our virtual students joined in on the fun and created drawings for Independence day too!
