One week after setting an In2Care Mosquito trap we came back to find this trap with dozens of mosquito larvae (the small wiggling creatures in the water). None of these larvae will develop into adult mosquitoes. In fact, the presence of these larvae will attract other adults thinking this is a safe breeding site. This is the unique impact of this new tool; it exploits the egg-laying behavior of the female mosquito by using her body to contaminate multiple breeding sites around your yard. This trap can kill virtually all mosquito larvae in its surroundings before they become biting adults. Only tiny amounts of larvicide will get spread to other breeding sites, which is enough to kill mosquito larvae but not enough to cause risk for non-target organisms like fish, birds, or mammals.
