One of my greatest joys while broadcasting was finding out I was going to get a chance to work with GA then make it my goal to get him to laugh during the show. He was so stoic but so damn funny and such a great human to be around. I will forever cherish the times when we sat in the press dining room during the game…talking baseball and talking family. Thank you for being a friend GA. I can’t put into words how much you will be missed. My heart goes out to the Anderson family. RIP GA
One more night behind the mic….
Last night was Steve Carroll’s final game behind the mic after an amazing 50 year career in broadcasting with 27 of those years as the radio voice the
As part of the night’s festivities, Steve was joined at center ice by his wife Rhonda and team president Aaron Teats and was presented a golden microphone and a custom painting to pay tribute to his illustrious career.
When Steve got back to the booth to call the game, waiting for him was his former broadcast partner .severyn to help him call the first period!
Congratulations Steve on an incredible career and I consider it an honor that I was able to witness part of it!

Sometimes the most meaningful travel moments begin with a simple message to a friend.
When we found ourselves in Osaka, I reached out to my friend who managed the Chiba Lotte Marines in Japan and led the club to the 2005 Japan Series championship—to put in a big ask - the chance to experience a baseball game at Koshien Stadium.
Because of Bobby’s kindness and deep connection to baseball in Japan, our families were able to step inside one of the most historic stadiums in the world and witness the passion of Japanese baseball firsthand.
Grateful for friendships that open doors to unforgettable cultural experiences—and for the history of the game that connects people across the world.
