Tremolo before DIRTš«Ŗ
Pedalboard aficionados will proclaim that tremolo should ALWAYS be after distortion, but that doesn't always need to be the case. When tremolo is before distortion, you're varying the amount of distortion, rather than just the volume. Much like if you move the volume k**b on your guitar really fast.

What is CARRYOVERā
While it may not be news to some, it's important to understand what delay carryover is. Carryover allows the delayed signal to continue echoing after you bypass the pedal so that the trails decay off naturally. SDE-3 has a little carryover switch on the top.
If you're old enough to remember the age-old true bypass vs buffered bypass debate, carryover is one of the main reasons buffered bypass is the way to go. š
