We are asking the public’s help in finding the owner of this dog. Appears to be a black pit bull mix wearing a gray collar. Was last seen in the area of Old Highway 25 near Chickasaw Drive.

Tonight's forecasted weather is expected to drop well below freezing. We would ask that if you can, bring your animals inside. If it is not possible, please ensure they have adequate shelter, insulation from the ground, a heating lamp if possible, and access to water and food.

The Amory Animal Control is looking for local farmers who could use some hardworking barn cats! 🐱
These cats have grown up on the streets and aren’t suited for indoor life—but they’d make excellent natural pest control on your property or farm.

This pretty pup was picked up around the West Amory Elementary School. We are asking for the community’s help in finding its owner. If you know who this dog belongs to, please contact the Amory Police Department.

We are asking the public to help us identify the owners of this dog. It was last seen roaming in the Rose Lane and Sanders Drive area.

Earlier today, the Amory Police Department received a call for service from a citizen that discovered a trash bag with multiple deceased kittens laying in the roadway. The Animal Control Officer was notified and responded to the scene and confirmed the caller’s information. We would like to take this time to remind the public that this type of behavior meets the statutory requirements to be prosecuted as felony animal abuse. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Amory Police Department or leave an anonymous tip using the P3 app.
