Last Friday Amherst Lions Club came to talk to 4th grade about trees and Arbor Day. Each of them got to take home a Sugar Maple and hear about sugaring in New England.
We hope you've had a refreshing week and we look forward to seeing all you saplings on Monday!
See our last newsletter here: https://app.smore.com/n/x15ta; can you be-leaf we only have 6 more weeks?!

We are so proud of our students and our 4th-grade Principal's Council for creating such a memorable and meaningful display for Staff Appreciation Week! đź’™

Every student at Wilkins contributed a sticky note with a personal message for a staff member. The notes are sincere, thoughtful, and truly joyful to read. Our 4th-grade council members visited each classroom to help students write their messages and worked together to design the beautiful “Thank You!” posters showcasing them.

One of the council’s favorite ideas was rolling out a special red carpet for staff to stand on while reading their notes of appreciation. ❤️ (Thank you to Amherst PTA for the quick delivery of our red carpet!)

At Clark School, our preschool and kindergarten students designed a special poster with each of their names thanking all of the teachers!

We are incredibly proud of the care, creativity, and hard work our students put into making our staff feel celebrated and valued!

In loving memory of Joshua Savyon, who was a student here at Wilkins School, Clark-Wilkins is continuing the Humane Society fundraiser. We remember what a kind and compassionate young boy Josh was, with a great love for helping others.

Please help out Clark-Wilkins as we continue Joshua's mission. We will be collecting donations for the animal shelter (collection bins will be at both Clark & at Wilkins). Here's a wish list from the Humane Society for Greater Nashua: https://www.hsfn.org/get-involved/item-donations/. Please bring your donations to our lobby by THIS Friday April 10th.

You can also send checks payable to the Humane Society of Greater Nashua, there will be collection jars for cash at the front office and there is also the option to donate via Venmo or Paypal this year. Visit Joshua's Humane Society page here: https://www.hsfn.org/joshuasavyon/

Our students had an incredible opportunity to participate in a Similarity Awareness Program from Northeast Passage at Clark-Wilkins! Through hands-on activities and meaningful conversations, our 1st–4th graders learned about inclusion, empathy, and the importance of seeing everyone’s strengths during physical education classes this week.

A huge thank you to Amherst PTA for supporting this enrichment experience and helping make this opportunity possible for all of our students. We are grateful for a community that values learning, understanding, and belonging for everyone 💙🦉

Our 4th graders rocked the house with their Rock Around the 50’s music show! 🎸🎤 From the singing to the dancing and everything in between, it was a joyful celebration of hard work and talent.

A huge thank you to Mrs. Petrick for her incredible dedication, creativity, and the countless hours she put into making this show such a success. Thank you to Amherst PTA for providing each student with a stylish t-shirt to wear for the program! We are so proud of our students and grateful for the amazing experiences they have in music! đź’™

Grades one, two and three had the pleasure of meeting Matt Patterson last week, and learning about turtles, the books he has illustrated and how he got into illustrating. Special thanks to Matt and our lovely librarian Mrs. Strauss for arranging the presentation!

Next week, 4th Grade will join the other lower-middle schoolers in the district for a presentation by author Miriam Chernick at Souhegan.
