Community Works is a (free) pre-apprenticeship program. Community Works covers the four counties of Western Massachusetts (Hampshire, Hampden, Berkshire, and Franklin counties) and is available to anyone looking to get into the building trades.
We run one (11-week) class a year, and our next class will start in February. Applications for this class close on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Find out more and apply at https://www.umass.edu/worker-ed/communityworks
