Living Routes Study Abroad in Ecovillages
Living Routes (1999-2014) empowered global citizens to consciously transform and connect communities
At the end of January 2014, the Living Routes (LR) office in Amherst, Massachusetts closed after thirteen years of providing cutting-edge study abroad experiences in partnership with sustainable communities around the world. Among our accomplishments are: 1) providing 1,485 students with the skills, knowledge, experience and wisdom needed to become social, cultural and environmental change leaders

Hey Living Routes alumni and supporters. First, I want to send (and hopefully receive š) some lovinā on what I imagine is a horrific day for most of us.
Second, I want to share that Iāll be heading back to Auroville in a few days and will be based there at least through March (I planned this when I thought Harris would win, but it is a one way ticket, so who knowsā¦). Come visit!
Iāll be co-leading a 2-week immersion program to help others get a sense of Auroville and the potential (obligation even!) I believe it holds to be a pivot point upon which the Great Turning happens! It feels even more important now!
Let me know if youāre interested and please share widely. Thanks!

~ We are delighted to share with you that Daniel Greenberg has accepted the role of Director of Education at the Findhorn Foundation! ~
Daniel first came to Findhorn in 1992, is a Findhorn Fellow and currently lives in Auroville, India. Daniel has been a leading advocate for sustainability within international education and the ecovillage movement. He chaired Sustainability Task Forces for National Association of International Educators and the Forum for Education Abroad, is co-founder and past Board Member of Gaia Education, and served as President of the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) from 2015-2019. is co-founder and past Board Member of Gaia Education, and served as President of the Global Ecovillage Network from 2015-2019.
This is what Daniel said about the appointment: I canāt imagine a more exciting privilege (and challenge!) than to become Director of Education at such a pivotal moment, not only for the Foundation, but for humanity. In the 30 years since I lived at Findhorn, I have visited, worked and created college programmes in over 100 ecovillages around the globe, including Sirius in western Massachusetts (for 17 years) and, currently, Auroville in south India. Through it all, Findhorn has remained my spiritual home. And now, with accelerating global crises and opportunities, the magic of Findhorn is needed more than ever to truly manifest positive visions for humanity and the world. I canāt wait to return home and, together, put our shoulders to the wheel of this Great Turning!
Please join us in welcoming Daniel!
