On July 29, 2023, held the Relief and Appointment ceremony where Sergeant Major Juan Gavilanes, relinquished his position as Recruiting Station Springfield Sergeant Major, to Sergeant Major Michael Perrault.
The Marines of RS Springfield wish Sergeant Major Gavilanes the best as he turns to the next chapter of his life along with his family, while also looking forward to the leadership, guidance, and wisdom that Sergeant Major Perrault will provide to the Marines as they continue to find America's best and brightest ๐บ๐ธ

Col Maraska of Norwich University delivers opening comments during a joint commissioning ceremony on Saturday. The Officer Selection Team for Amherst commissioned four new Lieutenants into the Marine Corps.

OST Amherst participated as a guest lecturer for the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at Western New England University, providing subject matter expertise on military culture, to include OT provider engagement with the community, health seeking behavior of service members and veterans. Discussing my own rehab from shoulder surgery and leveraging providers to come off limited duty 3 months early while discussing the career opportunities for DPT professionals.
