This work was part of a regional campaign to support pollinator populations initiated by Western Mass.
We are a group of community members, activists, naturalists, gardeners, and educators coming together to increase and educate about pollinators and their habitats in the greater Amherst area. On June 15, 2020, Amherst, Mass was designated as a Pollinator-Friendly Community and committed the Town to providing habitat and adopting management practices that welcome pollinators. Our next Discovery Day is the first week of June! π¦ Youth grades 1-6 are invited to Hitchcock Center on June 4 for a day at our Pollination Station. Did you know pollinators are the reason we have most of our food?! Together weβll learn about honeybees and other endangered pollinators who are vital to our health and wellness, and discover what we can do to support them.

Thousands of honeybees relocated from Easthampton building Beekeeper Adam Novitt said that the swarm of honeybees outside the old city town hall in Easthampton were just being themselves and not acting out of the ordinary.
