Prints Copy Center

Out with the old, in with the new! While getting a new work table is exciting, it also means we have to say goodbye to our old table. If you think Emily has been at Prints for a long time (and she has), this table was there long before she arrived on the scene. It is currently by our dumpster, awaiting a new home. If you could use a sturdy 31" tall x 92x44 pink table, roll on up to our dumpster and take it! It is great for family dinners, 14-person games of Monopoly, bunk beds, or life-size puzzles. If you don't need it, come check out its replacement. RIP pink, may you find a new, loving home soon.

Ohhhh....it is hot, hot, HOT. Know what that means? YARD SIGN SEASON! We got our Roland polished up and ready for action! Look at how this baby prints! For $20, get your garage sale noticed with a 2 sided yard sign! Don't like garage sales? Fine. How about a yard sign for your business, baby shower, graduation, wedding or just a yard sign letting your neighbors know why you ain't mowing your yard this season? Just send your artwork to [email protected] and one of our team members aka, Bethany or I, will get you set up. Gotta go, so many garage sales, so little time.

Throughout the last 9 years here at Prints, you may have noticed a quiet gal, usually sitting at the table doing various jobs. Perhaps you wondered about her mysterious ways. Why is she there? What is she doing? Does Emily see her? That mystery gals name is Bethany. Her and I started an online business and she would be in here taking care of those orders. As the years have gone by, Prints Copy Center has gotten busier and it was time for me to start looking for some help. I looked over at the mysterious Bethany and asked, "how do you feel about working with paper"? After an enthusiastic head nod and a firm handshake, I'm happy to announce that Bethany is the new co-owner of Prints Copy Center. Not much is going to change, but now you will see two friendly faces when come see us and I might get to have a day off every once in awhile. I've know her for over 25 years and know you guys are going to love her as much as I do. Stop in and see us soon!

Have you ever felt like your life is missing that je ne sais quoi, only to wake up in a cold sweat days later realizing that what your life NEEDS is a picture of your dog in a BOW TIE? So then you take the next several days to shop for bow ties for Charlie. I mean, your dog’s name is Charlie, right? This isn’t about us AT ALL. So you then have a few discrete hundred or so photos of your favorite pooch wearing the finest in luxury wear, and you wonder.

“Does my entire family need stickers of this?” YES, they REALLY do! Fear not, Prints Copy Center has your back. We are now producing full-color round/square or die-cut stickers! Stop in or email us at [email protected]

I'm sorry for not posting more updates, but there really hadn't been any. Things have been slow moving for several different reasons, but I think we are just about ready to get back to work. Floors are done, paint is done, ceiling is being done as I type this. There are just a few more electrical issues that need to be figured out and then I'm ready. I'll still need a week or two to get things moved back in and situated, but I can see the finish line! Thank you for all the kind emails, messages and facebook posts. I miss seeing all of you and can't wait for you to see the new store!

Hello? Anyone out there? I'm still here! My dog, Charlie, is getting a bit sick of me being home all day. OK, maybe he is just sick of me putting a bow tie on him. Anyhow, I promise I am trying to get back open ASAP! My hands are a bit tied as the landlord and insurance are driving this train. I was told things are FINALLY moving forward this week. If that is true, I hope to start getting back open, in some capacity, by the end of the month. I appreciate everyone being so patient. I've had so many people email and check up on me, I feel the love. I really am coming back, Charlie will make certain of it!

Did you think I forgot about you? I didn't! Things are moving along, just slower than I would like. I'm hoping I'll be somewhat open by the end of the month. In the meantime, I'm working on my tan and ordering new machines that will blow your mind! Thanks for the continued support, I promise I'm coming back, tanned and ready for copy action! Happy 4th!!

An almost empty print store is a sad sight. Bad news, everything in the entire store was compromised and must be cleaned or replaced. The good news, I already have an awesome team of people hard at work on that. It is looking like maybe July until I can get back to printing. In the meantime, I'll be training in preparation of reopening (cue Eye of the Tiger). I will be pressing that print button even faster, loading that paper with the grace of a ballet dancer and laminating like my life depends on it. As always, I appreciate the continued support. Ames, you are the best!

I always thought I had the best customers around, but you all have outdone yourselves! I've had so much support and offers of everything from time to money to store fronts to cupcakes!

The good news is, the building itself is ok and insurance is going to take care of everything. It is now just a waiting game to get this all sorted out.

In the meantime, I've had some really great friends offer the use of their store in Des Moines. I will have limited access to get some basic print jobs done. It just may be that there will be a 3-4 day turn around on things. If you have something you need, feel free to email me at [email protected] and I will see what we can get done.
