Today is an exciting day as we welcome a new resident into our men’s home. We’re grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside him as he begins this new chapter.

Please join us in praying for him as he settles in, builds new routines, and looks toward the future with hope.

Thank you for believing in the mission of Anchored Hope as we support young adults ages 18–24 with foster care experience through housing, mentorship, life skills, and community.

We’re grateful to stand alongside each young person as they build stability, connection, and hope for the future.

A large tree branch came crashing down last week, and we’re so thankful for the anonymous helper who cut it up and cleared it away for us. Your kindness and willingness to serve meant more than you know.

We loved welcoming so many people to our open house last night and are so thankful for everyone who came out to support Anchored Hope.

One of the highlights was getting to know this incredible young woman over the past few weeks. After aging out of foster care herself, she is now working toward starting a nonprofit to support others. We loved having her with us last night and are excited to cheer her on.

Thanks so much to the Cyclone Country Kennel Club for bringing dogs over to visit the residents at our women’s home this weekend.

We’re so thankful for so many amazing people in our community who take the time to love and encourage our residents in meaningful ways. 🐾

Sometimes it’s an unexpected home cooked meal that brings comfort. A special thanks to a busy mom who made a delicious meal for our residents.

Participants got their hands dirty as we planted herbs, tomatoes, onions, peppers, carrots, and more! For some of us, planting a garden was a first! We are thankful to our volunteers who taught us the basics of gardening and introduced us to the joy of being outdoors and growing our own food!
The “Roots of Hope - Community Garden” brings community partners together to help females (18-24), who have been involved in the Iowa foster care system learn healthy living practices through hands-on agriculture activities, nutrition education, and culinary skill-building workshops.

Our first young man will be moving into our new men’s home tomorrow, and we’re so excited to welcome him. 💙

Because of your support, he will have a safe place to live, a caring community, and the support and life skills he needs to build a brighter future.
