Cyclone Rocketry

Fun in the Sun! ☀️

Cyclone Rocketry took a trip to AIRFest in Argonia, KS on Labor Day weekend where we got to launch our current test vehicle for space shot, Sisyphus and Boulder. We also had a handful of successful certification launches, including an L3!

IREC 2026

Last week Cyclone Rocketry successfully launched our club rocket Hyperion to roughly 10,500ft. This rocket is the result of hard work and dedication from every member of the club throughout the last year, and we are extremely pleased with the flight.

We are very grateful for all the effort and support from ESRA volunteers to ensure the best possible outcome for everyone despite the poor weather conditions. Additionally, we would like to thank every sponsor, donor, and person who put effort into getting Hyperion off the ground. None of what we do would be possible without this incredible community.

Stay tuned for some action shots of Hyperion’s flight, and we look forward to another year of Cyclone Rocketry! 💫

IREC 2026 has officially been kicked off! 🚀💫

Cyclone Rocketry has spent the last two days here in Midland, TX working on getting through safety inspection, and also interacting with all the other teams. It has been a blast seeing everyone’s work and we can’t wait to put our own work to the test this week!
