What can studying in Namibia teach you about the world? 🌍

Travel to Namibia with Iowa State Education Abroad and explore culturally sustaining teaching in urban and rural school communities. Spend time visiting schools in Windhoek and the Oshana region while comparing teaching practices, educational contexts and the impact of history on education.

Through cultural experiences and community engagement, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how educators support learners in different environments, including schools with limited resources.

By the end of the program, you’ll develop strategies for creating culturally sustaining lessons and bring new perspectives back to your future classroom.

B1 did speed painting this week 🎨 if you want to play at home, gather up a bunch of friends, set out some paint and arrange yourselves around a table, and everyone has 3 minutes to paint before rotating and passing the painting to the person next to you. Ta da! You’re an artist!
