The pad program is back!!! We’ve had a bit of a hiatus in getting started up again after our transition to high school, but have been working hard behind the scenes to continue working towards our mission.

Today, Maggie and Ella went shopping for materials for our collaboration with to build feminine hygiene kits!

We know y'all love a good news story and proof of our community working together for the common good. That post about The Pad Program (Elodie, Ella, and Maggie) got well over a THOUSAND views and oh-so many likes!!!😯 So, here's an add-on: Jamie - an ISU student and current HeartCorps member with Story County Public Health - ALSO heard of the need for hygiene items and organized a drive at Mary Greeley Medical Center. She brought in 2 full tubs of needed items thanks to the generosity of nurses, doctors, and other staff. THANK YOU, THANK YOU! The future is bright with you all.

Three AHS students launched "The Pad Program" when they were in middle school. Their goal? To make sure students have access to needed menstrual products. And now? They generously donated products to United Way for Mid-Iowa Community Action - MICA pantry which is struggling to keep hygiene items stocked. Thank you Elodie, Maggie, and Ella for your hearts for others and community service. And .... happy new school year! 🍎
