In case you missed the meeting last night, Lee gave a quick lecture on Javascript and some of the members showed off some cool features they've implemented using JS. I've attached the lecture slides at the bottom for those that want to learn or need a quick recap. For a cool demo of what JS can do, check out http://jewellfamilydentistry.com/contact/ and click some of the icons. This site was the WDC's first project, and is a great example of the cool features JS can implement. At our next meeting, we will go over JQuery and do a simple ajax (Asynchronous Javascript and XML) example. (Don't worry, you don't need to know XML to use ajax)

Hello Web Dev's!
The 2016 semester is finally upon us, and we are excited to get our meetings started.
Our first meeting is Tuesday 9/13 at 6:00 in Coover 1016.
We have a lot of fun stuff planned for this year, so we hope to see lots of people coming to our meetings. We will also be doing a pre-HackISU learning session to teach new hackers how to create cool web apps and websites. Our hope is to get more people involved in web development and HackISU this year. This learning session will be on Wednesday 9/14 at 6:00 (Location TBA), so stay posted for further announcements.
Again, we are excited to start this year off, and hope to see lots of you at our upcoming events!

Well WDC members, one semester is in the books! We got our website up ( webbev.stuorg.iastate.edu ), put some work into other sites, and had a blast the whole time. We wrapped up the semester yesterday by holding elections, but don't fret, we will be back at it sooner than you think! Stay tuned for meeting times next semester, and have a good Christmas break!
