Can you guess what the most-viewed item in our digital collections was in August?
Hint: It wasn’t a rare manuscript or a historic photo.
It’s the 1985 Bomb, Iowa State’s student yearbook, published from 1893-1994 (except 1902). The 1985 yearbook staff treated an array of stories as the year’s public record:
Reagan’s second term, Michael Jackson mania, Johnny Gosch-era missing children coverage, concerts at Hilton, and Cy turning 30,
The complete run of Bomb volumes is searchable thanks to a six-year digitization project that was completed in 2016.

Finding the right help on campus shouldn't feel like a scavenger hunt.
The Cyclone Support initiative at Iowa State is changing how students connect to support-academics, wellbeing, finances, and more-whether through Navigate, a 'hand raise' request, or stopping by Cyclone Support Central in Parks Library. Faculty and staff can make a connection in a few clicks, and follow-up outreach helps more students actually get to the next step for help.
