Hi, my name is Emilee; I am going into my senior year at Iowa State majoring in biology and minoring in criminal justice. After graduation, I am planning on attending medical school with the goal of becoming a forensic pathologist. In my free time I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends, and being outside. I have really enjoyed learning new things about probation from an amazing group of people.

Hi, my name is Sarah: I am going into my senior year at Iowa State majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Sociology and HDFS. After graduation I would like to work in probation or alongside it where I can continue to help people. When I have free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, reading, and going outside with my dog. So far, I really enjoy interning at the CCJ because I am learning new skills every day from this awesome team of people working here!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the 2026 United Way Food Drive! This year, United Way of Story County collection sites raised over $11,000 and collected over 18,000 of food to donate to local food pantries. Learn more about CCJ’s work in our community at https://creativejustice.org/.

CCJ staff is wearing green today to raise awareness and support efforts to end the stigma surrounding mental illness. If you are experiencing mental health struggles or need support, call or text 988 to be connected with a 988 Lifeline counselor, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.

Congratulations to all the students across Iowa who participated in National History Day in Iowa! As a State Contest Judge, CCJ's Executive Director was impressed by the insight and enthusiasm students brought to this year's theme of Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History.
