Sumter County Board of Education Names Jerry J. Sanders, Sr. Sole Finalist for Superintendent

The Sumter County Board of Education voted during its meeting today, Wednesday, June 3, 2026, to name Jerry J. Sanders, Sr. as the sole finalist for the position of Superintendent of the Sumter County School District.

These students showed up every single day, always on time, and demonstrated dedication, responsibility, and commitment to their education. As a reward for their outstanding attendance, each student received a brand-new bicycle! 🚲⭐

Our ALL STARS had an amazing visit from Sumter Cycling! 🚴⭐ They spoke with our students about the importance of staying active, exercising, and making healthy choices every day.
